A customer in Preston contacted We Fit Aerials after having problems with their existing TV aerial system. What initially appeared to be an aerial repair soon turned into a full replacement after the engineer inspected the setup and found that the existing aerials were beyond repair.
Project Overview
This project involved a new TV aerial installation on a large terrace house in Preston. The customer needed reliable TV reception in more than one room, so the work included fitting a new aerial, installing new external equipment and running cables to different areas of the property.
After checking the existing aerials, the engineer explained what was required and agreed a price with the customer before starting the installation.
The Challenge
The main issue was that the existing aerials could not be repaired. Reusing old or damaged aerial equipment would not have provided a dependable result, so a new installation was the best option.
The property also had a steep roof, which made safe access an important part of the job. The engineer needed to reach the correct working position securely while making sure the new aerial was fitted properly and aligned for reception.

Our Solution
The engineer installed a new fully galvanised bracket, an external splitter and a new TV aerial. Galvanised equipment was used to provide a strong, durable fixing suitable for external use.
One cable was run into the front room, and a new TV aerial socket was installed in the bedroom. This gave the customer usable TV points in the rooms they needed rather than simply replacing the aerial without improving the internal setup.
Although the roof was steep, the engineer used a roof ladder to complete the work safely and professionally.
The Result
The customer was left with a new TV aerial system designed to provide reliable reception across the property. The old unrepairable aerials were replaced, new external equipment was fitted, and the home was set up with a front room connection and a bedroom aerial socket.
The completed installation gave the property a more dependable TV signal setup and removed the problems caused by the old aerial equipment.
